hello!

I'm Ali and I'm a conservationist, scientist and a bit of a self-confessed nature nerd! I'm especially passionate about evidence-based conservation, environmental campaigning and engaging wide audiences for the benefit of UK wildlife. 

 

My love for the environment stemmed from a childhood spent conducting 'pond patrol', nursing sick pigeons, climbing trees and studying water snails in my shed. I still climb trees (and rocks) and still spend a lot of time wading around ponds! Some things have changed though. I've been lucky enough to join a range of research groups & conservation projects across the country to help understand, implement and inspire action for UK wildlife.
