Neighbourhood trees often go unnoticed. Quietly cleaning the air we breath, storing carbon, offering wildlife corridors and sprouting precious greenery that does wonders for our mental health.  Many urban trees can be considered ancient giants and have seen enormous change as our towns and cities have developed. These are real pieces of living history - a part of our heritage - but are often at risk from development & human activity. I created Leafy Locals as a way of celebrating my own neighbourhood trees and hopefully encouraging others to look up and notice their own! Check it out here.
